Cross-Country Skiing in Susquehannock State Forest
The Susquehannock State Forest offers more than 40 miles of designated cross-country ski trails.
The most popular trail is the
Denton Hill Cross-Country Ski Trail System (PDF). Most of the trail is groomed periodically during the season.
At more than 20 miles, it provides skiing opportunities for the beginner or the experienced. Suggested loops vary from a few miles to more than 12 miles.
The
Billy Lewis Bike, Hike, Cross-Country Ski Trail (PDF) offers 14 miles of skiing opportunity and the
Pine Mountain Cross-Country Ski Trail (PDF) offers about seven miles of skiing.
Many foot trails, gated timber sale roads, and old railroad grades are also used by cross-country skiers.
