Boating at Tobyhanna State Park
Electric motors only; slow, no-wake speed
The 170-acre Tobyhanna Lake has 60 overnight mooring spaces.
A state park mooring permit is required for overnight mooring and is available at the Tobyhanna State Park office.
Boat Registration
Motorboats must display a current boat registration.
Non-powered boats must display one of the following:
- Boat registration
- Launching permit or mooring permit from Pennsylvania state parks -- available at most state park offices
- Launching permit from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission

Boat Rental
A boat rental is open daily from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day (except in inclement weather) and rents:
- Rowboats
- Kayaks
- Paddleboats
- Canoes
- Electric motor boats
