An upcoming project to replace the bridge over Route 96, at the Shawnee campground entrance, will necessitate a closure of this entrance.  Exact dates are yet to be determined based on the contractor's schedule and timeline, which are still unknown.  THE CAMPGROUND WILL REMAIN OPEN DURING THIS PROJECT.  During the bridge closure, campers will be re-directed to a secondary entrance, also known as the 'night entrance', on Turner Camp road to access the campground.  Campers with reservations should proceed directly to the campground to avoid congestion and access issues at the Park Office as a result of the bridge closure.

SPOT THE PROBLEM. The spotted lanternfly is an invasive insect that poses a serious threat to Pennsylvania’s resources, businesses, and economy. To date, our park does NOT have these pests. Help us stay lanternfly free and stop the spread. Visit the Penn State Extension’s Spotted Lanternfly website to learn how to identify it, report it, and inspect your vehicle or gear when traveling to and from the quarantine zone.
