Horseback Riding in Gallitzin State Forest
Gallitzin State Forest offers approximately 12 miles of trails that are open to horseback riding. The trailhead is located at the intersection of Buffalo Road and Route 56, approximately one mile east of Ogletown.
The trailhead has sufficient room to park trailers. This is a day-use facility and overnight camping is not permitted.
From the trailhead, follow Buffalo Road north to the County Line Trail. Once on the County Line Trail, there are several different loops that can be accessed depending on how long of a ride you wish to take.
The County Line Trail is shared by hikers and mountain bikers.
